Ken Hutcheson
President

Ken is not just President. He is our leader. He’s a numbers guy by nature, but very approachable, with the compassion and analytical skills to lead any company to success. He takes the time to mentor new franchisees one minute, council a veteran franchisee the next, and then advise an employee on a new project, all fit caringly into an already jam-packed day. You can be sure he asks a lot of questions to get to the root of a problem. He has a lot of the answers to the questions too. That is how he has taken U.S. Lawns from about 15 franchisees in a few states to over 234 franchisees in 34 states across the country. He has over 30 years experience in the green industry and has a passion for it that is immeasurable. When Ken speaks, people listen. His history with U.S. Lawns allows him to draw on stories about the early days when “the cowboys” of U.S. Lawns started the company. He is proud that the mission statement they developed on day one is the same one that leads U.S. Lawns into the future today. That also explains how Lawn & Landscape Magazine now ranks U.S. Lawns #10 in the “Top 150 Companies in the Market”. You would think he would be thrilled, but Ken pushes on to be in the top five.

Thankfully, we have this guy in our corner. He’s an ex-football player who always gets it done with a smile. His door is always open and he has a solution for every problem. With over 30 years of experience in franchising, sales and business operations, he knows franchising like the back of his hand. His list of awards is growing. He helps potential new franchisees make their decision, based on a win-win for both the franchisee and U.S. Lawns. He stays close to the franchisees. He knows their names, and chances are, he’ll know their families too. He laughs with them and looks forward to the next face-to-face with them. He masterfully negotiates contracts. His in-depth knowledge of the green industry allows him to keep the U.S. Lawns marketing plan on target for franchisee’s growth and for all divisions of U.S. Lawn’s business to thrive in any economy. He has helped build U.S. Lawns to where it is today.

Mike Fitzpatrick
Vice President

Mike is a pretty serious guy, but he has a wicked and dry sense of humor. He’s serious about the details. He has to be. His team acquires and supports the national accounts for U.S. Lawns. He and his team are on call 24/7 for their customers. The entire year is his busy season, but the winter snowstorms keep his entire team incredibly busy with snow and ice management. His department runs like a finely tuned engine. Mike has 30 years of experience in the industry and pursues new contracts with unmatched focus and intensity. Mike’s intense and natural sense of knowing exactly what the customer wants and needs, combined with his innate ability to deliver it, has made U.S. Lawns one of the most respected landscape management choices for multiple-property corporations.

Jerry Brown

Jerry is a people person, which comes naturally mixed in with his passion for playing his guitar. He’s always thinking about what may help the franchisees grow their businesses. His 30-plus years in the green industry takes the competition out of our competition. Jerry manages a team of Regional Franchise Advisors, professionals in the green industry with over 260 years of combined experience, who provide ongoing support nationwide for the U.S. Lawns franchisees with their unique knowledge and skills. Jerry and his team also develop the training programs that keep U.S. Lawns on the cutting edge and he’s instrumental in obtaining talent and speakers for our annual conference.

Pam Dolan
Business Management Director

Pam always makes time for people. If you need her, she is there with a smile. She loves to read, which comes in handy considering her wide range of responsibilities. With almost 30 years of experience in property management, she wears many hats at the U.S. Lawns home office, from managing completion of franchise agreements and account service agreements to insurance certificates for franchisees and insurance coverage and HR issues for employees. Organization is a must. She and her team put on our greatest show, the U.S. Lawns Annual Conference, which gathers home office staff and franchisees from across the nation together for three days of speakers, training and some fun and libations.

What an easy guy to talk to. People are his business. Brandon fits people with new businesses every day. He loves to change direction of people’s lives with new opportunities. It jazzes him. That’s a good thing too, because that’s his role. He dedicates a day of open discussion between the potential franchisee and the U.S. Lawns leadership team. He wants the partnership he may forge between a potential franchisee and U.S. Lawns to be a good fit. New owners are always thankful for his contribution to their decision. Kim Gubera
Controller

Now this is the person you want controlling your finances. Kim’s a CPA who loves her job and loves to do the numbers. She’s a 21-year vet of our company, and oversees all of the accounting functions of U.S. Lawns. She’s steadfast with preparing and reviewing budgets, financial statements and invoicing for all of U.S. Lawns, including national accounts. During snow season, as the snow gets deeper and falls harder, her department boldly faces the challenge of the avalanche of invoicing like warriors defending their country, and they have it down to a science, using the latest technology. Kim keeps the finances on track and steers U.S. Lawns forward into the future, keeping us well ahead of our competition.

Carol Beeler
Communications/Marketing Manager

Carol is both creative and analytical. She has over 30 years of marketing experience, having worked both at ad agencies and corporations, including 12 years with the Orlando Magic NBA team. Photography is a love of hers, and it shows in the imagery she selects for projects. Writing is second nature, and so is finding solutions to marketing challenges. The bigger the challenge, the more she smiles. Her sense of humor and calm nature carries her through all the tight deadlines, research and collaborative efforts of any large campaign. She helps U.S. Lawns’ vision become a reality.
